6 Month Windows Administrator Position in Marlboro, MA (Must have BMC Tools Experience)

Location: Marlborough, MA

 

Duration: 6 months

 

I have an immediate need for a Windows Systems Administrator with experience in BMC Performance Manager Portal 2.5 or above, Event Manager 7.1 or above, Portal Agents 3.1 or above, RT Server and Patrol Distribution Server.  If you have a Consultant that has this experience please forward a resume in word attachment with current location, availability and best time to interview. 

 

Bill Rate:  55-60 Hour

 

Window Systems Administrator/Specialist Monitoring (BMC Tools) 

 

The Monitoring Specialist/Systems Administrator will assist in design, deployment, and ongoing support of monitoring infrastructure.

Product Knowledge:
BMC Performance Manager Portal 2.5 or above
BMC Event Manager 7.1 or above
BMC Patrol agents 3.1 or above
BMC RT Server
BMC Patrol Distribution Server

Skills:
-Communication skills
-Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or VBScript
-Basic knowledge of UNIX commands such as df, iostat, top, ssh etc.
-Basic knowledge of Windows performance collectors, specifically perfmon and WMI


Operational Tasks:
Ongoing development of monitors and rules. IE: Create a monitor to scan an application log and a rule to route it to the appropriate on-call group.
Agent installations and upgrades
User account maintenance
Scheduling of blackout windows for scheduled maintenance
Maintenance of server inventory
Maintenance of file system inventory
