Skill : J2ee - IBM WebSphere Application developer
The services to be provided include, but are not limited to the following:
A. Assist with production and documentation of the deliverables.
B. Perform full scope of development, monitoring, and administrative tasks related to the creation of a WebSphere/Oracle Web-based application.
C. Work in an integrated, team-driven, development environment.
D. Duties will involve actions related to all parts of the applications lifecycle (development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and limited customer support).
E. Transfer knowledge to transfer to all intermediate/junior level development team members.
F. Other duties as assigned.
II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
YearsSkills/Experience
6 Application development experience involving enterprise-level IT solutions.
4 Web-based application development for both Inter- and Intranet environments.
3 Writing stored procedures, triggers, functions and other database objects in Oracle 10g.
Strong Extensive knowledge of IBM WebSphere, and Sun Java. J2EE Development JDK - (Servlets, JSP, JSF, EJB, JDBC, JMS) and J2EE specifications.
Strong Experience participating in customer JAD sessions when required and assist in system re-design by offering suggestions defined within the scope of the project.
Strong understanding and knowledge of the WebSphere/J2EE architecture, EJB, OOD skills, and J2EE integration points with external or third party products.
Strong understanding of the MVC pattern STRUTS2 framework
Strong Ability to produce clear and concise documentation (technical & customer).
StrongWillingness to work flexible hours.
StrongAbility to work in a team environment
Preferences:
YearsSkills/Experience
4 J2EE
1-2 Experience within a Health and Human Services Commission Agency desired
Knowledge of IBM Websphere Portal
Knowledge of SOA.
Knowledge of Windows NDS security
Knowledge in SDLC’s, UML and Use Case methodologies
Knowledge of connecting to the databases and SQL.
WebSphere Application Server 5.0 certification strongly preferred; additional certifications are desirable
III. TERM OF SERVICE
Services expect to start as soon as possible and are to be completed by August 31, 2009. Total estimated Worker hours shall not exceed 480 hours per worker. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
IV. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION
A. Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the HHSC. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
B. The primary work location(s) will be at the HHSC facility located at 701 West 51st Street., Austin, Texas. Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the Worker’s and/or Vendor’s expense.
C. HHSC will provide pre-approved, written authorization for travel for any services to be performed away from the primary work location(s). Pre-approved travel expenses are limited to the rates and comply with the rules prescribed by the State of Texas for travel by its classified employees, including any requirement for original receipts.
D. The Worker(s) may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Payment for work over 40 hours will be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated and pre-approved through HHSC.
